For Illinois residents: Beginning January 1st, 2025, short term insurance plans are are no longer available in Illinois. Comprehensive coverage is available through HealthCare.gov. The open enrollment period for HealthCare.gov is November 1st through December 15th for a January 1st effective date or December 15th through January 15th for a February 1st effective date. The LAST DAY to enroll in comprehensive coverage through HealthCare.gov for 2025 is January 15th, 2025. Certain qualifying life events may allow you to enroll at a later time but loss of a short-term insurance plan is not considered a qualifying life event.
